Moving Text

Step-by-Step Directions.

Moving text is the same as cutting and pasting text to a new location.

1. Highlight the text you want to move. To do this with your mouse: place the cursor to one side of the text, left-click and drag the cursor over the text.

2. Do one of the following:

• From the Edit menu Cut:

• Click Cut on the Edit toolbar:

• Press <Ctrl + X>.

3. Place the cursor where you wish the to text to appear.

4. Do one of the following:

• Click Paste on the Edit toolbar:

• On the Edit menu, select "Paste".

• Press <Ctrl + V>.

Alternatively:

1. Highlight the text you want to move.

2. While holding the <Ctrl> key, drag and drop the selected text to its new location.
